Pssst, it’s me… talking about myself in the third person feels weird. I’ll stop.
I draw pictures so that people can understand and share information.
7 year old me would be SO EXCITED that this is my job. Adult me is quite pleased too. I started drawing in front of the TV on bits of off-cut paper from my grandpa’s printing press in the early 90s, and I haven’t stopped.
While I used to trace scenes from The Lion King, now i’m drawing for big brands so that they can tell their customers important stuff like ‘our bottles are made of recycled plastic’ or ‘we care about the environment’. I’m into it. Yas, big brands, yaaas. I believe that when the big boys make moves to become all environmentally conscious, EVERYONE will have to do it, and the world will be a better place.
The ways I work:
Live Illustrating at in-store events, on windows, walls and glass, on my iPad, or on giant rolls of paper
People like working with me because
“Katie is super easy to work with, quickly gets to grips with what you are looking for and is happy to adapt as the project progresses.”
“Exceptionally quick to respond to emails and calls, and all illustrations were done ahead of what was already a tight schedule. Both myself and the graphic designer I was working with at the time were delighted with the service we received, and how engaging Katie was throughout the process.”

Regular naps and black coffee keep me going, along with a strong dislike of offices.
Old packaging, plants, the people around me, and old photographs, travel adventures with a bag full of paint and sketchbooks. When I was studying I worked as a nanny and lived all over Europe. Italy, Germany, Switzerland. I discovered a love of strong cheese, fizzy water, languages and cycling. I can speak a bit of German and Italian - enough to understand what’s going on, but probably not enough to have an interesting conversation.
I live in a little cottage in my hometown with my photographer partner Cameron who likes to collect old things. Am I one of the old things? Oh no... Maybe I am. He’s a collector and I’m a wannabe minimalist. Really though, I just own plants. Lots and lots of plants.
I lecture in illustration and graphic design, and I also travel globally for live illustration and graphic recording at events, conferences and meetings. I love to use my illustration powers for good and I am especially interested in projects on sustainability, eco-friendliness and ethical causes.
